		<description><![CDATA[I&#039;m an Iowa Citian.  I remember the Great Midwestern.  And I remember the hummus sandwhiches from there.  I don&#039;t know if it was the first, but definitely one of the first hummus sandwhiches I had came from the Great Midwestern.  Sadly, it&#039;s no longer there.

As for college towns, I grew up in them.  I spent my childhood here in IC and spent highschool in Columbia SC (the home of USC).  So, college towns never had any special allure to me.  Growing up in IC, I never even really thought of it as a college town even though we moved here because of the university.

For me, college towns (especially small college towns) represent childhood and youth.  The thing about living in a college town is that, even as one ages, the population remains eternally young.]]></description>
