There is this idea in our society that companies wouldn't be allowed to put something in our food that would harm us, but in fact it gets easier for them to do just that every year. When the FDA is filled with former members of the companies they are supposed to regulate, and even our new Surgeon General used to be on the board for Burger King, we really cannot trust anyone but ourselves to protect our food supply.
