Pajama Party: Wrap Up

We’ve had another festive week of partying!  This time it was an all-nighter, a good old fashioned sleepover.  When the guests arrived, they were greeted with a cold hummus-style dip, Spinach & Artichoke Great Northern Bean Dip:

Then it was time for a hot appetizer, the gloriously creamy Loaded Potato Slices with Cashew Cream & Bacony Bits:

As morning drew closer, we needed something on the breakfast side of things with Apple Cinnamon Waffle Sticks:

Finally, as the sun peeked out from the horizon, something hearty was on the menu with the Southwestern Tofu Tostada:

This ends the pajama party week of my party-themed posts, but the fun doesn’t stop here!  Today you’ll find me over at Veganville, doing a video interview with the irreverent and hilarious, Gigi.  She’s doing a weekly long-distance interview series called Who Dat Vegan, following vegans in their natural habitats.  (Last week it was really long distance, as her interview was with Veganosaurus in India!)  Thanks to Gigi for inviting me to take part!

I’ll see you all again next week!

    • Thanks, Susmitha! I watched your video interview last week, and you have such a warm, bubbly personality. I’m glad to hear that Gigi is planning on keeping up this feature. It’s fun to be introduced to vegans across the globe like yourself!

  1. Sweet Kitties! Was this a grown up sleepover? I always want to host those, but it’s surprisingly difficult to get adults to come to a pajama party! Those potato slices look right up my alley!

    • Thanks! I just love seeing the kitties sleep and cuddle like that. They don’t always get along, and so when they do, it’s heartwarming to see.

This was more of a conceptual/virtual grown up sleepover. I should have made that clearer in the post. Like you, I’d love to host one too, but since most of our friends have young kids, even organizing a lunch or dinner can be tricky!

  2. Another great week!! I haven’t had time to comment a lot, but I’ve been drooling along. I really enjoyed your interview over at Veganville too!

    • Thanks so much, Trista! I made four of those cups, but I never know what to do with them. Who knew they’d end up being just the right size for waffle stick holders? :)

  3. Wait — I just watched Gigi’s interview, and at the end she mentions Olive Pit Pottery. Is that you? Did you make these super cute waffle stick containers????

  4. This week has made me realize how much I need to have a slumber party. I think the twins, Chris, and I should have one before they get too old to hang out with boring adults. ;-) I can’t wait to see what you’re cooking up for next week!

    • Absolutely!! Those years go so fast when kids are interested in hanging with the adults in their lives and when they have the time. Before you know it, there are so many extra-curricular activities that move to the forefront. This is the time to make all of those wonderful family memories. You’d all have so much fun having a pajama party together!

    • Thanks, Theresa! I’m pretty excited about it too. I made a special piece of pottery for it, and it still has to be fired in the kiln. So I’m planning on doing the Dr. Who party at the end of the month when it’s ready. :)
