In celebration of Vegan MoFo, I’m doing a month of themed dinner party ideas! For the beginning of this week, I’m continuing the holiday mash-up theme!
The Holiday Mash-Up theme party has come to an end! (I know you were hoping for a course honoring Tax Day… Why not leave 25% out of the drinks in everyone’s glasses?)
For the Holiday Mash-Up we started with Jack O’Lantern Salads in Asian-style Peanut Dressing….
Dinner was served with a side of Spinach in Orange Sauce and Saffron Herbed Rice.
For the main course, we enjoyed Thanksgiving Kebabs (also known as Thanksgiving-on-a-stick) with grilled seitan, potatoes, stuffing, and sweet potato casserole.
Finally, the dinner was finished off with Crispy Rice Treat Baskets for dessert.
Some dishes I’ve made in the past that would also have worked with this theme are:
Green Pumpkin Smoothies for Halloween or Thanksgiving
Melted Snowman Soup for any winter holidays
Roasted Chestnuts for Christmas
At last it’s time to announce the winner of the 30 Day Vegan Challenge giveaway! All of the comments were so moving. I’m glad it was up to the random number generator to pick, because I couldn’t possibly have chosen. And the winner is… Lois! Congrats to you!!
Have you missed any of the dinner parties this month? You can check out all of the themes here.

another super fun party wrap! one more week to go. i love that all of your food has an identity of its own, faces, expressions and all:)
Thanks, Richa! It’s hard to believe that MoFo 2012 is coming to an end in a few days. I think it will be the sigh of relief heard around the blogosphere!
ha ha, the melted snowman soup is awesome! hee hee. It’s making me giggle. He looks really concerned!
One minute he’s a potato snowman, the next he’s a mashed potato puddle. It has to be pretty disorienting!
Cadry, there’s no question you are a party pro. Next on your agenda should be The Vegan Party Book!
I love that idea, Andrea! There are endless party possibilities!
Yes I remember these goodies!!! Look at the bunny look at the bunny! So cute. Hey you are a theatre geek, isn’t the line “don’t kill the bunny” from Urinetown? or am I making that up?
Wow, I hope I don’t get my theatre geek card revoked, but I’ve never seen Urinetown! I really couldn’t say!
Thanksgiving on a stick takes the cake, that’s hilarious! I have to make that melted snowman soup!
It’s definitely the saddest soup ever!
