Handmade for the Holidays: Cyber Monday Pottery Deal!

When it comes to gift-giving and receiving, handmade is my favorite.  There’s something about knowing that someone else made an item with her own two hands that makes it more special than a gift that’s been manufactured by the thousands. Plus, it feels good to support artists and small businesses.  Up until Christmas, I’ll be peppering my posts with gift giving ideas for the food enthusiast and/or vegan on your list, paying special attention to handmade artists.

Of course, it was only natural to start with my own pottery shop, Olive Pit Pottery. I’ve been going into the studio everyday, wedging, rolling, and glazing, getting things ready for the holidays.  Now my closets are packed and my Etsy shop is fuller than ever.  True to the name, I’ve even added a couple of olive dishes that are two sided – one to hold the fruit and the other to hold the pits.

If you see anything you like for you or someone on your list, take advantage of the Cyber Monday deal and get 10% off of your purchase for today only.  Just put the code CYBERMONDAY into the coupon area.  Happy shopping!

Such cool stuff Cadry, my mom has a pottery studio and I love watching her work. I’ve tried my hand at it, but don’t have an artistic bone in my body 😉

Thanks, Somer! That’s so awesome that your mom has a pottery studio. I can see why it’s fun for you to watch her work. It’s always a joy to see people you love in their element, isn’t it?

Oh, my gosh, Somer! That painting of your mom is so beautiful! The artist so clearly captured her artistic process and the muse in action. I love the lighting too! That’s so special that you have that painting in your home!

Thank you for your kind words about my pottery!
