Vegan cherry pie shake

Repurpose leftover pie by turning it into a shake! You won't believe the decadence of bites of sweet cherry pie and non-dairy ice cream in one delectable dessert.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup non-dairy milk Cashew milk is my favorite.*
  • 1 cup vanilla non-dairy ice cream So Delicious cashew ice cream is my favorite.
  • ¾ cup vegan cherry pie divided (Any kind of fruit pie will work!)**
  • 1 sundae-style cherry like a maraschino or jarred bing cherry

Instructions

  • Put non-dairy milk, non-dairy ice cream, and ½ cup vegan cherry pie into a blender. Blend very briefly until the ingredients are just combined. You don't want it to get too liquidy. It's best if the pie isn't completely disintegrated in the shake.
  • Pour the shake into a glass and top with the remaining ¼ cup of pie. Crumble it on top and adorn the shake with a single sundae-style cherry.***

Notes

*You don't want to use too much milk, because then the shake becomes overly liquidy. However, if you're using a non high speed blender, you may need to add a little more to get everything running. Be sparing, and add just what you need.
**To measure the pie, simply cut off pieces and smash it into a measuring cup. It's roughly the amount of one slice of pie.
***If your toppings want to sink in the glass, add an additional dollop of non-dairy ice cream to the glass. It will float, and then the toppings can lay on top of it.
