Put vegan ham in a medium-sized casserole dish or dutch oven. Cover and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. (This temperature, timing, and amount of glaze is for a 2-pound vegan ham. Follow the package directions for your specific product, and remove from the oven 15 minutes early to apply the glaze. Then continue baking. If your ham is smaller, you can also adjust the amount of glaze accordingly, if you like.)
While the ham is baking, make the maple brown sugar glaze. In a small bowl, combine maple syrup and brown sugar. Stir to evenly mix. Then set aside.
Remove ham from oven. Coat it with maple brown sugar glaze by spooning or brushing it on. If you like, push the optional cloves into the top of the ham. (The cloves don't add much flavor, but the final appearance for serving is fun.)
Return the glazed ham to the oven. Bake uncovered for 15 minutes, and then serve. (If you're using the optional cloves, remember to remove them before eating.)
Notes
Not all brown sugar is vegan. However, organic brown sugar is guaranteed not to have used bone char for the refining. You can also look for a denotation on the bag of some brands.
